Crunchy roasted chickpeas

  • Oven or air fryer


  • 400 grams cooked chickpeas
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin, paprika powder, garlic powder, coriander powder
  • salt and pepper


  • Rinse the chickpeas in a strainer
  • In a bowl, mix the chickpeas, olive oil and spices
  • Preheat your air fryer at maximum temperature
  • Place them in the air fryer basket and bake for 20 minutes at 180ºC (356ºF)
  • Oven: place them over a baking sheet and bake for 20 to 30 minutes at 200º C (392ºF) or until golden
  • Don’t forget to stir or shake them at least 2 times
  • Done! Let them cool for 10 to 15 minutes and they are ready to serve!


Note: You can either buy the canned chickpeas or cook them yourself. You need to soak them in water for 8 hours or overnight. Rinse them and add them to a large pot with water. Bring them to boil and reduce the heat. Simmer for 1 and a half hours. One tip is to cook them al dente, this way you’ll get a crispier texture at the end.
